I generally dislike Apple-anything. Their products are too restrictive and don't give you much flexibility in terms of how you want to use the device. Even jail-breaking (which will void your warranty, by the way) doesn't give you as much flexibility as an Android. (Plus, their products are expensive, but that's common knowledge at this point.)
So, I'm going with Android.

I'll add a signature when I stop being lazy.

If you are a person that unlocks/jailbreak most, or all of your device's. android is the way to go because when you root/jailbreak an android device. You can change you ROM and with Apple you cannot, that's another plus to android OS.

You mean have 5 clocks? No, but I only need to see one.

And when I say catching up, I mean the Android app store, not the actual device. Exactly how blind7125 said before me.

Once Apple makes iOS open source so that suggestions and modifications can be made to make the OS more personable, and when they make it standard to be able to tether a data connection for internet, and when they make widgets able to be placed on your screens instead of just a bunch of pages of buttons, then MAYBE, MAYBE I'll look at their shit a little more closely.

Like seriously. Why do they keep it from being open source? The best way to make an OS that your buyers will like is by TAKING SUGGESTIONS/IDEAS FROM YOUR BUYERS.

I have a Droid X2 and it's da fuckin' bomb.

I'm not too familiar with Android models and what's the best, but I've had some problems with my phone just like I've had problems with the iPhones I have laying around somewhere in my house.

I'd say it's pretty close, but Droid wins IMO. iOS is nice, don't get me wrong. I don't like Apple, but that doesn't mean their overpriced electronics aren't nice.

DX2 is shit, I hate my phone. Constantly crashes and over heats, and to top it off this is my second phone. Sorry, just had to say that.

I have to say apple. Not because android is bad, but because I've used 1 android device for 20 minutes. I did like android a lot though.

iOS is far superior, I have an Android and I hate it. Not because it is bad, rather because it lets people do bad things to it. I have 4 pages of "system critical applications" that were put on by my network provider they just run 24/7 and use the battery up in a couple of hours (they can't be removed). And they do stupid things to, I have 3 mapping apps (all locked) and 4+ app stores (most of which are shit). I'm looking into root kitting it...

Reset factory settings via iTunes if you're worrying about that. Personally, when I got my iPod touch 3rd gen I got a warranty from the store instead.

My mom had 2 consecutive Droid phones which stopped working normally (after warranty), so she decided to get an iPhone because we know a few people who love them. She says it's a nightmare and wishes she stayed with a Droid. (Sucks to be in a contract.)
