I would build one rather than buy a prebuilt PC. You pay less because you're putting it together, you get to know exactly what has been put in it, and you get the satisfaction that you built a badass computing device.

And you'll know how to upgrade it in the future!

this is generally true but if you're willing to wait until black friday cyberpowerpc might actually be better (no guarantee though). they put it together pretty well and you know how much you're paying for each part (and what it is obv). last year i saw pretty nice deals at least (even considering the price drop for a 'homemade' pc).

On Cyber Monday, Newegg has insane deals too. No matter how you slice it, building a pc is always cheaper than buying a prebuilt of the same quality.

Basically this. There are plenty of videos floating around for different build price points.

Pair this build here : http://www.newegg.co...t=Combo.1189055 with a nice video card of decent power and you'll have a nice build.  PS I don't recommend the actual bundle as the PSU is really bad if you plan on shoving a GTX 980 into it.  Also not for sure on the case if a card will fit in it. I personally prefer the HAF cases for my customer's builds.

Well this is so similar to my build (minus the fact that it doesn't have a GPU) that I can vouch for it. (Seriously, the CPU and mobo are identical and the RAM and HDD capacity are identical as well, just different brands) It's a great deal for the price they're giving you.
