Upgraded heavily from shitty Acer Aspire tower, once RAM is upgraded nothing of the old rig will be left in the new except maybe hard drive.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78lmt-s2 (rev 1.2)(got this and a Raidmax full ATX case, a 500W power supply, and a couple of case fans used for $80, not only was it a good deal but it allowed me to upgrade parts gradually since everything important I already had was compatible): $80
CPU: FX-6300 kept at base clock of 3.5 GHz: roughly $110
CPU fan: SilverStone Argon Series AR02(had to get this because old CPU fan didn't fit in new motherboard): $15
RAM: 4GB DDR3 @1333 MHz(should be 8GB sometime this month or the next): $50-60 for 8GB
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 270 Dual-X Edition With OC $160(was purchased before GTX 960 came out, otherwise would have saved up the extra $40 or so to get it instead, otherwise only competition was 750Ti at the same price point, current card outstrips that no problem)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium: free(suffice it to say some arm-twisting on support allowed me to get a new license and keep my Windows 7 installation genuine)

Total upgrade cost: $415-425

What do y'all think, did I do good?

Get a cheap CPU cooler and push that CPU to 4.3+. There won't be a huge fps boost, but it will help prevent fps drops during high CPU load.

Not too concerned about that, honestly. As long as I can run everything well, I'm fine. If I have to turn some stuff down to take off some load from the CPU, that's fine by me. I'm no longer on an integrated GeForce 6150 SE, and that's what's important. In any case, AMD OverDrive is disabled for CPU permanently it seems(despite CPU being unlocked), and I'm not confident enough to overclock through the BIOS.
