[Caronc]

Hey guys, Caronc here and I was wondering what is the best headset I can get for a 120 dollar price range? I was looking at the Razer megladon but I was not sure as WhatCS told me it was a bad choice. I am looking for:

Longevity,Mic quality and sound quality in that order.

Please post what I can get please!

Toms hardware did headset reviews not too long ago, the Corsair beat out the g35s and the megalodons, so they're pretty dang good

If you really don't care about sound then go for the megalodon. I just find it to be a waste of money if you want a fancy 5.1-7.1 headset. The mic is actually pretty good so go for it.

The megalodon is a 5.1 headset, and if you don't have room for speakers, they work very well

It is a 7.1 and they do not work very well. How do I know this? Because I own them. You obviously either have a terrible ear or never actually used them. The surround sound is a fake surround. It manipulates where the sound comes out of the speaker, so to speak.

get the logitech g35 headset. They may be fake surround sound, but the surround sound functions and sounds much better than some real ones.

Funny, Tom's didn't have any trouble with any lf the surround headsets they used, and the Corsair had the best directional sound out of all of them, they had no trouble finding the direction the sound was coming from

I never said you can't hear where it is coming from, I said that while the surround is okay, but because of it not having multiple drivers it becomes very echo'y if the game/VC/video doesn't have 7.1.

They are. Their marketing campaign is pretty good since everyone thinks they are amazing, when in truth they are uncomfortable and shitty.
