You could atleast use comparable screens, like the dell u3011 or u2711.
It'd still be much less. Also, WhatsCS, you're doing it wrong. You need to add at lest 100 boxes of Poptarts.
I don't disagree, but as I said, you could atleast use comparable screens. If I was paying over $10 000 for a computer I'd much rather have two u2711s or two u3011 than 4 shitty acer monitors or whatever those were.
I went with the highest rated screens in the 27" class. I wan't trying to just build a super expensive computer. Plus, I have four monitors of equivalent size. On top of that, ASUS is known for having very good quality monitors.

Edit: I decided to actually put some time into the monitors and got this: SAMSUNG B350 Series S27B350H Transparent Red 27" 2ms GTG HDMI Widescreen LED

They might be of equivalent size, but they're still not comparable to the thunderbolt displays imo. the u2711s are probably the most comparable monitors, considering they are ips panels, they're the same size and the same resolution, the only difference being the backlighting.

Every day I feel more and more like taking this mac and cooking it over a charcoal BBQ.

One day maybe.

OT: there is no good reason to max a mac out for that price.

If walking on water makes you Jesus, and humans are 78% water, does walking on humans make you 78% Jesus?

I once had a mac laptop, bought it for $200 from someone who really wanted to get rid of it. I then managed to save up and buy a good computer 3 months later. I then smashed the mac repeatedly with a hammer.
Send me a message if you want to add me on Steam. I'd like to play some games with you.

I wouldn't buy a mac.Ever.

Its not that I hate Macs, they're good computers, and they last along time. My friend has one and I talked to him about his, and he loves his mac. But Yeah, I wouldnt buy one.

My friend gave me a blueprint for a good gaming computer, since im thinking of getting one. Its less than $1,500 and for that it will run alot of games on high graphics for awhile, which would be good if you want something that will last.
For the moment I will waste this space with a useless sentence.

They last along time because they restrict what you can do on the computer. The only thing that macs allow you to do that is labor intensive is Photoshop or the few 3d/architecture programs. They are shitty computers with the shittiest parts you can buy in a computer, and to top it off they literally charge you an arm and a leg. They may as well just ask you for $300 and give you a brick with shiny silver paint on it.

Interesting fact: with Apple products at the very least, 50% of what you're paying for is software. This software is the 'cutting edge' of easy to use software for dumbasses and rich people trying to be hip.

What is even more amusing is that the OS is based off of a certain linux OS that escapes me(unix or BSD, I'm not good with linux shit). So you are paying for a modded version of a free OS :/*

*Watcher7 told me of this, therefore all credit goes towards him(if correct).

If anything has an 'Apple' sticker it's immediately worth more.
